Pitch in for Parks Day

Spring is in the air and  the Hudson River Audubon Society (HRAS) is gearing up (gloves, shovels etc….) to begin the planning, clean-up and planting of this year’s garden.

All are welcome to come and participate.

Sunday, April 27, 2003 is "Pitch in for Parks Day" sponsored by Pizzeria Uno and Westchester County Parks. Pizzeria Uno will be donating pizza for the volunteers. We will begin at 10AM.  Plan on spreading wood chips for the path and relining it with logs, plus cutting, clearing, moving plants . We will have tools available; however, I do encourage all to bring their favorite tools whenever possible.
The planting weekend this season will be May 10, 2003 and May 11, 2003 also beginning at 10AM.

Maintenance like weeding and watering (when possible) will be ongoing. We have experienced members and volunteers who would be happy for the additional hands after the garden is planted. However, we would be willing to work with anyone’s schedule if you are interested in helping.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Mary T. Harrington at 914-667-1494 or at tctallon@aol.com
