FeederWatch

We sit in a cozy, warm room at the Lenoir Preserve Nature Center and watch birds come to the outdoor feeders. A great way to learn about backyard birds, if you’re not familiar with them. Hot drinks and snacks served, too. Not for members only - all welcome.

We need volunteers to lead the FeederWatches. You don’t need to be able to identify feeder birds; you will be paired with someone who does. Email Ruth DeFord

FeederWatch is a citizen science project run by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Winter bird populations at feeders are tracked throughout the US and Canada.

Note: weather cancellations will be posted here.

Last FeederWatches of the year:
Saturday, April 19 from 10 AM - noon; Sunday, April 20 Sunday (Easter) 2 - 4 PM
